Mass Times

Changes to Mass times and Mass Availability

We have been hearing about more restrictions being lifted and I am sure that you will be happy to know that we can now have 10 people gathered in the church for Mass, personal prayer, and/or reconciliation from this Friday 15th May. We do of course have a few rules around how we do this and we have to be very careful to maintain social distancing and sensitisation measures.

This is the instruction we have had from the Diocese is the following -

For Masses generally: the number is 10 plus the priest. The number 10 includes people such as servers, readers, musicians. It is important that we do not flaunt the regulation of only 10 people inside the church, such that it doubles in number because of all those regarded as ‘assistants.’

For Weddings: the number is 10 plus the priest and the bride and groom.

For Funerals: the number is for indoors, 20 plus the priest and the funeral director attendants; for outdoors, 30 plus the priest and the funeral director attendants.

For Baptisms: the number is 10, including family and guests, plus the priest.

For the live-streaming of Masses: the number of those present in the church should remain under 10, plus the priest.

You will need to book by phone or email if you wish to attend ANY of the Masses, weekday or weekend by phoning Parish Office 9451 5097; Fr Jose mobile 0451 685 116 or email Parish Office on parishoffice@ffcp.org.au

You will be asked write your name on the list when you attend Mass so that we can keep a record of who is at each Mass (this is a government health requirement) and you will need to use the hand sanitiser when you enter the Church. There will be no collection plate handed around but we will have a “plate” at the entrance of the church if you wish to leave something, or use the tap and go at St Martin’s and OLGC.

If you have a cold or feel unwell in any way please stay and home and do not come to the Church.
