Frenchs Forest Catholic Parish Catechist Coordinator Role

We are seeking a Parish Catechist Coordinator. The primary purpose of the Parish Catechist Coordinator is to lead and support the catechists of Frenchs Forest Parish who provide Special Religious Education (SRE) to the Catholic Students in State Schools within the Parish.

We are looking for someone with a strong personal commitment to SRE, Catholic teachings, faith, ethos, values and mission of the Catholic Church.

As part of the role, you will:

The Catechist Coordinator will work under the direction of the Regional CCD Coordinator, the Parish Priest and with the Parish team to provide coordinated support services to enhance the SRE ministry within the Parish.

The Lakes and Lindfield/Killara Epping & Carlingford Parishes - Parish Secretary

Are both seeking to recruit a permanent part-time Parish Secretary.

The Parish Secretary role plays an important part in the Parish team, providing support for Parish communications, administration, financial processes, Parish property, compliance and Diocesan support. There is some flexibility with the working schedule for both positions, however the role does require a physical presence in the office.

The Lakes Parish is looking for someone to work four days per week, approximately 26 hours per week, with a preference for the working schedule to be Monday to Thursday.  Applications close Wednesday, 30 August 2023

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of office administration processes and procedures and a sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a general knowledge or willingness and confidence to learn basic MYOB, bookkeeping or accounting practices. As this role is often the first point of contact for the parish, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are crucial, supported by a good understanding of, and commitment to Catholic values and teachings.
